It was over 130 days ago when I last did that 7hrs 24mins thing - but today I did another one!
Yes, I am legally and finally part of the working Kiwi brigade. I started at 0815 with a couple of poached eggs on toast and a flat white in a well chosen restaurant very close to my new workplace. I finished at 1730 with a glass of wine and some nuts at my desk in my workplace! Starting on a Thursday had a bonus as it was 'drink and snacks at 4:30pm day' and tomorrow is pub after work day, being a Friday, so I guess at this rate it will be AA Tuesdays for me!
What did I do in the middle of these two eating and drinking experiences? Well, of course I cannot go into the technical detail on here...for one reason I do not know it yet....but basically I read things and started to get an understanding of the wonderful world of managed funds and what sort of IT products are used to support it.
Everyone was very friendly and most importantly I think I will return tomorrow...mmm, with that in mind and a free lift in if I get ready for 8am, I think I will finish up this entry now as it is late.
Oh, in case you are wondering, it was a cheeky little red Merlot, kiwi of course, which I had whilst working my way through an organisation chart at my desk...so after day one I now have peanut salt in my keys and red wine rings on my desk, but I guess the cleaners will remove that in time for tomorrows drinks! ;-) hic!
