Hello everyone, well I am typing this blog tonight whilst being slightly worried about good old Essex...no, I have not gone on line and checked out the scorecard (might do that tomorrow ;) But I am re-acting to the 3rd news story on NZ One's 10:30 news update. A storm surge coming down the east coast? Well, having just watched some BBC shows from 2005, I know NZ TV can be a little behind, but the last major surge was 1953, and I think even Mars will have seen that broadcast by now! So I am assuming this is current.
Hopefully everyone will be OK there - I called my Mum but she was on the phone, so at least the electrics are working!
Well I have been by the coast myself today, as it ha
pens, but it was as calm as a mill pond with a bright burning sky above. So needless to say, without sun cream or a hat, I now have a bright red head! The particular coast I was beside was called Evans bay and is about 60 mins walk from here. The reason I was there was to look at some rental properties and the one I actually found looked OK but a little small but being just off of Oriental Bay (see video clip below), it is pretty easy distance from the city and near by shops and restaurants.
Not sure if the above clip worked - if it did then apologies that it was not a better shot, in fact it is just a road really - I will take some nicer video tomorrow.
Well that is about all for today, apart from a few more contacts, but no dates today, on the online dating thing, and no news yet from the interview. Tomorrow I am looking at a four bed rental house which has this view of Evans Bay (see photo above) from its two sun decks and spa - so that should be nice.
